Erie, Pa. – The Mercyhurst women's basketball team plays at Slippery Rock Saturday at 1 p.m. The Lakers won the first meeting between the teams this season, 80-66 Jan. 14 at the MAC. Mercyhurst went 1-2 on its recent three-game homestand, and play at Slippery Rock before returning to the MAC for two straight home games.

Game Information: Mercyhurst (9-11 overall, 3-4, t4th PSAC West) meets Slippery Rock (7-13, 2-5, t6th) for the 16th time overall, and second time this season.
Series History: The Rock leads the all-time series 8-7, and has won four out of the last five meetings. The Lakers, however, beat Slippery Rock 80-66 Jan.14, 2009 in their first-ever PSAC West contest. Mercyhurst hit 10-of-22 three-pointers and 20-of-21 from the foul line.
Stephanie Prischak led the Lakers with 21 points and
Amy Achesinski scored 14 points. Nikki Presto added 19 points to lead Slippery Rock.
Last Time Out: Mercyhurst lost 58-48 to cross town rival Gannon Wednesday. Achesinski and Prischak scored 12 points each to lead the Lakers. Slippery Rock dropped an 88-71 decision to No. 2 California (Pa.) Wednesday. The Rock was led by Amanda Nero, who scored 18 points. Jess Schake added 16 markers.
Up Next: The Lakers' next two games following the Slippery Rock contest will be at home, Feb. 11 against Edinboro and then Feb. 14 versus No. 13 Indiana (Pa.).
