Lakers Host Clarion For PSAC West And Home Opener

Senior Steve Kindler has started all three games on the offensive line this year.

The Mercyhurst football team plays its home opener, hosting Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West Division opponent Clarion Saturday. Both teams enter the contest with a record of 1-2 but with divisional play beginning, the slates are wiped clean for an opportunity to win a conference championship. It will be the first time Mercyhurst has hosted a team playing in the PSAC West since defeating Edinboro 34-20 in 1999.

There will be a large media contingent on-hand for the game as it will be seen live locally on the Image Sports Network. As well, Mercyhurst's WMCE Radio 88.5/104.9 FM and Clarion's C-93 Radio 92.7 FM will be broadcasting the game. The audio/video feed will be available online via the B2 Network and live statistical updates can be followed on the Mercyhurst athletic web site at www.hurstathletics.com.
