Hilton Head, S.C. - Elizabeth Mullane and Jamie Sutyak blanked their opponents in singles play and the Mercyhurst women's tennis team had no problem in dismantling Adrian 9-0 Monday on Spring Break.

The Lakers never lost more than two games in any singles set and dropped just five games in doubles play to get a win in their Spring Break opener.

Following Mullane's and Sutyak's sweeps, Meghan Raynor won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5 and Natalie Iovino won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 6. Chelsea Downing had an easy 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 4 and Jennifer Daly won 6-2, 6-1 at the top of the lineup.

In doubles play, Sutyak and McLean were untouched, winning 8-0 at No. 3. Mullane and Downing picked up an 8-2 win at No. 1, while Daly and Christine Mersch won 8-3 at No. 2.

Mercyhurst, now 9-10 on the year, will play Catholic Wednesday at 10:00 a.m.
