Johnstown, Pa. - #5 Pitt-Johnstown won the last four bouts to overcome a 12-6 deficit and defeat #10 Mercyhurst 19-12 Friday night. UPJ improved to 24-4 on the season while the Lakers had a nine-match winning streak snapped in dropping to 14-8.

The Lakers took four of the first six bouts capped by junior Zack Schafer's decision at 165. But the Mountain Cats got a critical overtime win at 174 to close the gap to 12-9. A major decision at 184 and a decision at 197 put the Lakers in a 16-12 hole. Paul Bergman lost a close decision in his heavyweight contest to produce the final score.

Mercyhurst will travel to Kutztown University next weekend for the NCAA Division II East Regional wrestling tournament on Friday, February 24 and Saturday, February 25.
