Midland, Mich. - The Northwood Timberwolves, in second place in the GLIAC's North Division, handed Mercyhurst a 3-0 defeat Saturday. The scores were 30-24, 30-16, and 30-26. The Timberwolves improved to 16-7 overall as they won for the tenth time in 12 conference matches. The Lakers, fifth in the South, dropped to 12-11 overall and 2-10 in the conference.

Christine Nisbet and Megan Fargo paced the Lakers with seven kills each. Jenna Matson had 13 digs and Kari Clapham added 27 helpers.

The Lakers will conclude a three-game road trip with a stop at Gannon next Friday night at 7:00. The Lakers defeated the Knights 3-1 in mid-September at the Athletic Center.
