Keith Cammidge

Keith Cammidge starts his 16th season at Mercyhurst University and his fifth as the Director of Soccer Operations. His responsibilities are to oversee two highly competitive NCAA Division II programs and to serve as the head coach for the women’s soccer team. He is the winningest coach in program history.

In 2016, Mercyhurst finished the season with a 8-8-2 overall record and  a
6-8-2 mark in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC). The Lakers finished tenth in the PSAC  in totals goals scored with  22.

In 2013, a young  women's team completed its best season in some time, finishing 9-9-1 overall and 8-7-1 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), eighth among seventeen teams in the conference. The Lakers made their first post-season appearance since 2009, but were eliminated in the first round by eventual conference champions, California University of Pennsylvania.

Under his guidance the two programs have experienced eight NCAA tournament berths- four first round, two second round, one Elite Eight and one Final Four appearance. Included was the program's first-ever national #1 ranking in 2002. Additionally he has secured seven conference championships.

Overall, Cammidge has an extensive background at the collegiate, olympic development and regional levels of soccer. He has been awarded Coach of the Year honors at conference and regional levels. He has also served on the NCAA Division 1 Regional and National Ranking and Tournament Committees. Prior to his time at Mercyhurst, Cammidge was the head coach at three NCAA Division I programs, Northeastern, Drexel and North Carolina-Wilmington.

Cammidge earned a bachelor's degree in physical education and exercise physiology from Boston University and a master's degree in sports management from Northeastern University.

He played his collegiate soccer as a midfielder at Boston University and was a member of the 1980 NCAA tournament team and the 1981 ECAC championship team.

Cammidge is also a national licensed coach through the United States Soccer Federation and English F.A.

He was born in London and is married to the former Maureen Daly. They have a son, Ryan, and two daughters, Kelly and Clara-Rose.
