Francis Mizia went 2-0 this week helping the 12th-ranked Mercyhurst wrestling team to a pair of dual victories. He started with a 5-2 decision over West Liberty's Brian Skoff on Wednesday and then he upset the #2 wrestler in the country at 157 pounds, Zak Vargo of Lake Erie College, with a 4-2 decision to help the Lakers knock off the 16th-ranked Storm. Vargo was last season's national runner up at 157. Mizia, a redshirt freshman, improved to 15-4 on the season and 6-1 in dual competition.
