Mercyhurst women's lacrosse player Angelina Simon was named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league on Tuesday.

Simon had seven goals and two assists to lead the Lakers, who totaled 29 goals in two wins over PSAC opponents. She also had 10 draw controls, five groundballs and four caused turnovers during the week.

The junior had a team-high five goals in the Lakers' 15-9 victory over SHU and then recorded a team-high seven draw controls during MU's 14-9 win against Millersville.
