Kristian Hill ’14 enters his first year with Mercyhurst University. Kristian was hired by Allegheny Health Network, and will serve as the athletic trainer for the Women’s Ice Hockey team.
A native to Cleveland, OH., Kristian earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Mercyhurst University. Upon graduating from Mercyhurst, he completed his Master of Science in Athletic Training degree from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. While completing his Master’s degree, Kristian worked as a Graduate Assistant AT with Christopher Newport University covering the football, track and field, and women’s lacrosse programs. While at CNU, Kristian was part of an interdisciplinary task force that developed and implemented mental health protocols in accordance to NCAA recommendations.
Following the completion of his Master’s degree, Kristian worked with Riverside Health System in Newport News, VA. While acting as an athletic trainer in the physician’s office, he also served as an outreach athletic trainer with the Apprentice School working with the football, Men/Women’s basketball, and baseball programs before serving as the Head Athletic Trainer for Lionsbridge FC, a pre-professional soccer club in USL-League 2, and the Peninsula Pilots, a collegiate, summer baseball team in the Coastal Plain League.
Kristian returns to Pennsylvania following a stint as Head Athletic Trainer with Barça Residency Academy, USA in Casa Grande, AZ. Barca Residency Academy, USA is FC Barcelona’s first and only full-time residential Academy in the United States. The academy teams participated in MLS NEXT league, Major League Soccer’s youth platform, UPSL, and Arizona state premier leagues.
