Danielle Riley will join the Mercyhurst women’s lacrosse team in 2017 as a graduate assistant coach for the Mercyhurst women’s lacrosse team. She is a graduate of Merrimack, having completed her degree in Theology and Social Justice during the spring of 2016.
Riley, a midfielder, played four seasons of lacrosse for Merrimack. She appeared in 54 games and started 45, totaling 30 goals and 11 assists (41 points). She also accumulated 56 groundballs, 30 caused turnovers and 21 draw controls.
Riley is a native of West Point, N.Y., and graduate of James I. O’Neill High School. She has been a coach for Army Lacrosse Day Camp and Army Lacrosse Elite Camp.
Riley’s brothers, Jack and Brendan, are members of the Mercyhurst men’s ice hockey team while her father, Brian, is head coach of Army West Point’s men’s ice hockey team.
