An assistant coach on the staff of Penn State Behrend head coach Joe Tristan during the 2019-20 academic year while also working for Gannon in the Small Business Developing Center as a project and program coordinator, he becomes the second Sadikovic to coach in Erie joining brother and former Golden Knight athlete Marko.
A native of Nis, Serbia, and a graduate of GTS Neimar, he completed his time at Gannon among the all-time best in program history by ranking sixth in goals (155), 11th in assists (64) and 22nd in steals (96) on the Golden Knights’ career leaderboard.
An Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) Division II All-America First Team selection in 2017 and 2018, Sadikovic garnered All-Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference-West Region First Team honors in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
At Diablo Valley: Played for head coach John Roemer … helped Diablo Valley College win the conference championship and finish third in the state as a freshman.
Following a redshirt season in 2015, he burst onto the scene in 2016 by claiming Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division II Championship All-Tournament First Team recognition, MAWPC-West Region All-Conference First Team and MAWPC Championship All-Tournament Second Team laurels while helping Gannon to the MAWPC-West Region regular season title and a third place finish at the MAWPC-West Championship. Overall, he racked up 29 goals, 16 assists, 22 steals and a trio of field blocks in 17 games during his first-year.
In 2017, he reeled off a litany of honors by claiming ACWPC Division II All-America First Team status on the heels of a season in which he recorded 58 goals, 12 assists, 37 steals and a field block to aid the Golden Knights to another MAWPC-West regular season crown. For his efforts, he was voted the MAWPC-West Region Most Valuable Player and an All-Conference First Team selection. In addition, he helped Gannon to the CWPA Division II Championship as the Golden Knights downed Salem University (15-11 W), McKendree University (15-7 W) and Mercyhurst (16-12 W). At the MAWPC-West Region Championship, he earned another MVP award and All-Tournament First Team status as Gannon downed Mercyhurst, 15-10, to claim the program’s inaugural league title in men’s water polo.
Sadikovic concluded his tenure at Gannon in 2018 by claiming another CWPA Division II MVP award and All-Tournament First Team nod as the Golden Knights topped Salem (17-6 W), McKendree (10-6 W) and Mercyhurst (11-6 W) for the program’s second consecutive crown. An MAWPC-West First Team All-Conference honoree, he powered Gannon to the program’s third straight MAWPC-West regular season title, collected MAWPC-West Championship All-Tournament First Team honors and helped Gannon claim Third Place at the MAWPC-West Championship as the Golden Knights downed Mercyhurst 14-4. He notched his second ACWPC Division II All-America First Team award following the conclusion of the season
