Suchar, a native of Corry, Pa., also serves as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist in the Corry Area School District, where she supports students in all areas of communication. She brings a unique perspective to coaching by blending her clinical expertise in communication, recovery, and cognitive performance with her background in athletics—skills that translate directly to supporting athletes through injury recovery, leadership development, and performance under pressure.
She previously spent two years as the Assistant Track & Field Coach at Corry Area High School and is the founder of
Corry Elite Track & Field, a USATF-certified club program launched in 2025, making Suchar a USATF-Certified Coach. Her additional coaching experience includes:
- Head Coach of Corry Elite Track & Field, USATF-Certified Club Program (2025)
- High School Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Assistant Coach, Corry Area School District (2023–2025)
- Middle School Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Volunteer Coach, Corry Area School District (2023-2025)
- Middle School Track & Field Volunteer Coach, Fort LeBoeuf School District (2022-2023)
- Student Strength & Conditioning Coach, PennWest Edinboro (2022–2023)
Suchar earned her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Thiel College and her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Athletic Coaching from PennWest Edinboro. During her studies, she gained three years of collegiate and high school strength and conditioning and coaching experience. At PennWest Edinboro, she also worked within the university’s athletic department in Athletic Communications and Event Operations, where she contributed to facilitating athletic events and supported the implementation of student-athlete weightlifting programs and individualized nutrition plans. While completing her graduate studies at Thiel College, Suchar gained additional clinical experience as a speech-language pathologist, working alongside physical therapists, athletic trainers, and other medical staff to screen student-athletes for concussions, assess cognitive-linguistic function, and support recovery and return-to-play protocols through interdisciplinary care.
As a coach, she specializes in hurdles, jumps, sprints, and technical development across all events, emphasizing biomechanics, long-term athletic development, individualized training plans, and mental preparation. In 2025, she coached multiple athletes to District, State, and National Championships with several podium finishes—including one of Corry’s first PIAA State Championship hurdlers (Blake Cook - 2025 Champion) since 2007—and has helped guide many athletes through the college recruitment process to NCAA Division I, II, and III programs.
“I am passionate about helping student-athletes grow as competitors and individuals, not only on the track but in their personal and academic lives,” said Suchar. “Coaching is truly my passion—it gives me the opportunity to pour into young athletes, challenge them to reach their full potential, and help them build confidence both on and off the track. By combining my background in speech-language pathology with my coaching experience, I strive to create an athlete-centered environment that supports performance, wellness, and communication. My goal is to not only develop strong athletes, but also strong people who carry the lessons they learn in sport into every area of their lives.”
