Kathy Noble-Fraley

Kathy Noble-Fraley begins her 26th year as head coach of the women's cross country program and has established it as one of the best-conditioned and competitive squads in the region.

In 2018, her team finished Top-3 two events, which included a victory in the Mercyhurst/Gannon Invitational on October 6th.  The Lakers also qualified for the NCAA Regional Championship where the squad posted an 8th place finish.  Molly Kennedy and Rebecca King both ranked in the Top-30 finishers.

The Mercyhurst University women's cross country team has been honored as an All-Academic Squad by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

To qualify, a team must have a cumulative team grade point average of 3.00 or better and have compiled a score (finished at least five runners) at their respective NCAA regional championship.

Program alumna, Melissa Hall (1994-96) was inducted into the Mercyhurst University Athletic Hall of Fame in June of 2012.

Noble-Fraley has competed in the Pittsburgh, Columbus, and Cleveland marathons.

In addition to her duties with the women's team, Noble-Fraley also serves an assistant to the men's cross country team. He husband, Mike, begins his 28th year at the helm of the men's program in 2015.

Noble-Fraley received her B.A. in Art from Buffalo State and works as a freelance artist.
