2014-15: Named to All-PSAC Second Team in singles...went 16-3 in dual singles competition, primarily in the #5 position...finished 18-5 overall in singles...went 4-1 in PSAC play...had best winning percentage on the team in singles action...ended the season going 9-0, including wins over West Virgina Wesleyan and West Liberty in the Division II Atlantic Region Championships...McCooey and Andoni Marquez went 10-9 in doubles competition in the #2 position...finished 12-12 overall in doubles

2013-14: Had best winning percentage on team in both singles and doubles...went 11-3 in singles competition and 10-4 in doubles action...in singles, went 7-2 in duals and 4-1 in tournament play...went 2-1 against PSAC opponents...had a team-best 10-match winning streak during the season...won the finals of the consolation bracket at the USTA/ITA Atlantic Regional Championships from September 27-29...had nine-match winning streak in doubles, teaming with Daniel Gimenez, Mauricio Canton Diaz, and Travis Beck...played primarily with Beck where he went 6-2

High School: Played tennis at St. Columbas College in Dublin, Ireland...ranked tenth in Ireland...played for the State squad.

Personal: Born December 15, 1994...majoring in business marketing...son of Patrick and Sarah...has three siblings - Orla, Cormac, and Sorcha...father has seven caps for Ireland in tennis.
