ERIE, PA. – The Mercyhurst flag football fell to Geneseo Saturday afternoon at Saxon Stadium, 14-6.
 
After a scoreless opening quarter, the Lakers scored to open the second quarter. Ellie Schau found Alexis Summers for a four-yard touchdown pass. The extra point attempt was not good, giving the Lakers a 6-0 lead.
 
Geneseo tied it up with on a quarterback keep one-yard rush for a touchdown. The Knights took a 7-6 lead on a good extra point rush, again from the Knights' quarterback.
 
The Knights extended their lead with three minutes remaining in the third quarter. A two-yard passing touchdown was followed by a good extra point attempt as the Knights went up 14-6 on the Lakers.
 
The Lakers came up empty in the fourth quarter, falling to the Knights 14-6 and moving to 2-2 on the year.
 
The Lakers are back in action next weekend at the NCFFL Tournament at Howard Community College in Columbia, Maryland.
