Erie, PA- Mercyhurst Stunt had an exciting victory at home, defeating Malone University 20-8 in their Epilepsy Awareness charity game.

How it Happened

The game started with Mercyhurst taking an early lead in partner stunts, scoring the first 4 points and going into the second quarter with a 4-0 advantage. In the second quarter, focused on pyramids and tosses, the Lakers continued to dominate. Mercyhurst scored in the first three rounds, with Malone finally putting a point on the board in the last round. The score at halftime stood at 7-1 in favor of the Lakers.

Mercyhurst's momentum didn't slow down after the break. In the third quarter, which focused on jumps and tumbling, the Lakers continued to build their lead, adding 4 more points to make it 11-1 going into the final quarter. In the fourth quarter, Mercyhurst closed out the game in strong fashion, scoring 9 more points. Malone managed to score 7 points in the final stretch, but it wasn't enough to catch up. The final score ended at 20-8 in favor of the Lakers.
