Erie, PA – Mercyhurst Stunt is set to host Malone University on Friday, March 14th, at 6:00 PM for a special Epilepsy Awareness game. The charity game will benefit the AJO Forever Foundation, with donations and a 50/50 raffle taking place during the match. Fans are encouraged to wear purple to show support for epilepsy awareness, and t-shirts will be available for sale.
Laker Outlook
Mercyhurst enters the match after a standout performance two weekends ago. The Lakers earned a dominant 22-0 victory over Northern Kentucky University, followed by a tough 17-11 loss to Ashland University. However, they rebounded with a 17-10 win over Central Michigan University. The Lakers now hold an 8-7 overall record and a 2-3 mark in the conference as they look to build momentum moving forward. Sophomore Jayna Phillips has been a standout performer, racking up impressive individual scores. Phillips finished as the top scorer of the Lakers' home tournament, posting 51 points against Northern Kentucky, 35 against Ashland, and 42 in the win over Central Michigan.
Scouting Malone
Malone University enters the matchup with a 4-7 overall record and a 1-5 mark in their conference. The Pioneers have claimed victories over Quincy University, Heidelberg University, Ursuline College, and Hiram College. Malone is currently ranked 5th in the GMAC standings.
