KENT, OHIO – The Mercyhurst wrestling team competed at their third open tournament of the season at Kent State Saturday. Seven Lakers competed across four weight classes.
 
Colin Scherer and Noah Adamson competed at 145 lbs. Scherer dropped his opening match but bounced back with a 9-6 victory in his second bout of the day.
 
Jaden Reagle and Keith Mincin both entered in the 165 bracket. Reagle and Mincin fell in consecutive matches.
 
Joshua Johnson-Cantrell battled in the 197 bracket while Joey Baronick and Gino Guerrisi competed at 285 lbs.
