Findlay, Oh.- Mercyhurst Wrestling hit the road to head to Findlay for the the Findlay Open, which was their second competition of the season. The Lakers had some impressive individual performances as they continue to gain experience.

How it Happened:
Colin Scherer and
Marcus Colson both wrestled at 141, but neither was able to pick up a win in the main bracket. Scherer grabbed a single win the consolation bracket over Jeremy Ortiz of Campbellsville before he fell to Shane Watson of Campbellsville. At 149,
Roland Mills and
Noah Adamson both dropped their opening matches. Adamson also fell in the consolation bracket.

Mike Zacur, who wrestled unattached, put together a solid day at 157. Zacur defeated Emilio Arellano of Tiffin in a 7-6 decision before beating Davenport's Cody Euberroth.
Max Stedeford, who also wrestled unattached, lost his opening matchup, but picked up three wins in the consolation bracket.
Keith Mincin wrestled at 165 and won a major decision over Baldwin Wallace's Donovan Palmer in his lone win at Findlay. In the 197 bracket, Ronnie Jones dropped his match in the main bracket, but picked up a win over Reese Redman of Ashland in an 11-5 decision. Josh Johnson-Cantrel and
Gino Guerrisi closed the day out at 285, but neither was able to pick up a win.
