GREENSBURG, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst softball team saw its season come to an end with a 16-0 loss to host Seton Hill in the PSAC Quarterfinals Thursday afternoon.
The Griffins jumped out early with four runs in the bottom of the first and tacked on five more in the second to build a 9-0 lead.
Seton Hill scored three more in the third and four in the fourth to set the final in five innings.
Allison Dejidas picked up the only hit for the Lakers on the day on a single in the fourth. Morgan Hilty took the loss in the circle.
Mercyhurst finished the season at 18-21 and made their first postseason appearance since 2013.
