ERIE, Pa. – The Mercyhurst men's tennis team fell 4-2 to Edinboro Friday afternoon in the PSAC Championship at the Westwood Racuqet Club. 

The Lakers got out to a lead scoring the doubles point. Unai Amilleta Gonzalez and Arseniy Sklyarov tallied a 6-3 victory over Thibault Dorval and Gustavo Martens at number two. David Akinpetide and Milan Jankovic notched a 6-2 win over Takahiro Inuoe and Kai Chin Chen. 

Gonzalez finished his singles season 12-0 scoring a 6-1, 6-1 win over Inoue at number one singles. Chen trimmed the lead to 2-1 with a 7-6, 6-1 win over Kiran Richards. 

At number two, Ruben Acuna defeated Akinpetide 7-6, 6-3. Martens topped Jankovic 6-2, 7-5. Kaio Sacchi clinched the match for the Scots with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Sklyarov. 

The Lakers will await the NCAA Regional Tournament Selection Show which is May 4 to see if they qualify for the postseason.
