Women's Lacrosse Defeats The Rock To Stretch Win Streak To Five

ERIE, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst women's lacrosse team earned its fifth consecutive win, defeating Slippery Rock, 7-5, in a PSAC contest on Tuesday at Tullio Field.

Key Numbers
  • Julia Rescott scored two goals to lead the Mercyhurst attack while Lacey Netti tacked on one goal and one assist. Netti, the team leader in assists, now has 39.
  • Single goals were recorded by Emma Hubert, Angelina Simon, Molly Meegan and Paige Cocina. Hubert leads the team with 54 goals and 62 points.
  • Kira Kolb accumulated eight groundballs, six caused turnovers and four draw controls. She leads the team in all three categories with 81 DCs, 60 GBs and 32 CTs.
  • Winning goaltender Kaitlyn Lippert totaled six saves and improved her record to 5-1.
  • Slippery Rock goals were scored by Hayley Pimentel, Francesca Lindelow and ShyAnne Toomer while goalie Haley Barrett made 12 saves.
