KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Mercyhurst women's tennis team defeated Kutztown 7-0 on Friday.
 
Nada Ostojic and Ivona Plecevic defeated Alicia Pursell and Amanda Grebosky 6-1 in No. 1 Doubles. Ulyana Trifonova and Janice Theodora took down Catherine Maher and Elyssa Tomczyk 6-0 at No. 2 Doubles.
 
The order of finish for doubles was 3, 2, 1.
 
Kutztown had no one for No. 3 Doubles, so the Lakers picked up an automatic win.
 
Naomi Jahr defeated Pursell 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 Singless. Ostojic took down Grebosky 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2. Athina Tsagkaraki won 6-0, 6-1 over Maher at No. 3. Trifonova defeated Tomczyk 6-2, 6-0 at No. 4. Theodora won. 6-1, 6-2 over Kalena Grey at No. 5.
 
Kutztown had no one for No. 6, so Mercyhurst picked up an automatic win.
 
The order of finish for singles was 6, 4, 1, 3, 2, 5.
