Jalin Steel will receive the Mercyhurst female athlete of the week for her efforts in the women's basketball team victories over Pitt-Johnstown and Slippery Rock.

Steel scored a team-high 29 points against Slippery Rock -- the most points from a Laker this season -- and 17 points against Pitt-Johnstown.
