Kennedy Watson of the Mercyhurst University women’s water polo team led the Lakers to two wins this past week, helping improve Mercyhurst’s record to 7-10 overall and 1-0 in Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) play. The Calgary, Alberta native netted seven goals, recorded three assists and had two steals in two games. Watson had phenomenal day on Saturday, April 9th, in the first conference game of the season at crosstown rival Gannon. She netted four goals, dished out three assists and had two steals, leading her team to a 14-8 win. On Wednesday, April 6 Watson scored three goals and had one steal in a 14-1 win at Grove City. The sophomore currently leads the team with 43 goals and 55 points, while also recording 12 assists and 22 steals.
