Matthew Minnick tossed a one-hit shutout in a 10-0 Laker win over Clarion in game two Saturday, April 2nd. The sophomore lefty from Collins, N.Y. recorded 11 strikeouts -- a career-high -- and two walks in seven innings pitched. It was Minnick’s first complete game of his young Mercyhurst career. He is currently 3-0 on the year and holds a 3.33 ERA in nine appearances on the hill. Minnick was honored as the PSAC West Pitcher of the Week for his performance against the Golden Eagles.
