Kayode Ajenifuja led the Lakers throughout the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournament as he awarded the Most Valuable Player (MVP) for his play over the three game span. Ajenifuja averaged 18 points, 1.7 assists, and 6.3 rebounds in en route to Mercyhurst’s first PSAC Tournament Championship in school history. The Beltville, Maryland native scored a game-high 23 points in a win over Clarion in the quarterfinals, then went on to post 17 points in the semifinals and 14 points in the title game. He finished shooting 22-of-35 (62.8%) over the past three games, draining 5-of-6 (83.3%) 3-pointers.
