McDonnell helped the Lakers' women's ice hockey team to a 1-0-1 record, earning the win in MU's 3-1 victory over RPI on Saturday, Jan. 2, before recording 60:22 of shutout play in net during a 2-2 tie with RPI on the following day.

In 120:22 of game actino, McDonnell saved 30 of 31 shots she faced -- good enough for a 0.50 goals-against average and .968 save percentage.
