Making just his second collegiate start, McKee got the ball in the season opener against Lock Haven on Saturday, March 7 and was one out away from throwing a no-hitter. He gave up a two-out single in the top of the seventh inning but threw the complete-game one-hitter in the Lakers' 9-1 victory. He allowed one unearned run, walked three, and struck out a career-high nine batters in the victory.
