Bale finished the week with three goals and one assist in helping the women's hockey team to a 2-0-1 record. She was also a +4, took eight shots on goal, and blocked three shots during the week. She scored the game-tying goal, and Mercyhurst’s only tally, in the Lakers’ 1-1 overtime tie at perennial power, Cornell, on Monday night. She then helped the Lakers record a weekend sweep of visiting Lindenwood with two goals and an assist in Saturday’s 5-2 victory over the Lady Lions. It was her first career multi-goal game and it established a new career-high for points in a game with three. Her first goal on Saturday was the first shorthanded goal of her career. It was just her second career multiple-point effort in 66 career games. Bale ranks third on the team in scoring this season with six goals and seven assists for 13 points.
