Riley, playing in front of his hometown crowd, on the ice he grew up on, and against his father, Brian, scored two goals and added two assists to lift the men's hockey team to a 6-3 victory at Army on Saturday night. Riley was making his first appearance against his father's team at West Point. He missed last season's weekend at Army with an injury that forced him to miss all but seven games a year ago. He scored the Lakers’ first and last goals of the game and added his assists on the game-winning goal and on Mercyhurst’s fifth tally of the night. In fact, he had three points in the third period, on successive goals, to help snap a 3-3 tie. It was his first multiple-goal game and his second career multiple-point contest. He finished the weekend with two goals, two assists, three shots on goal, five blocked shots, and was a +4.
