Janiga finished the weekend with two goals and three assists to lift the Mercyhurst women’s hockey team to a pair of 4-1 victories over visiting RIT. In the series opener on Friday, Janiga scored the Lakers’ first goal midway through the second period and then added an assist later in the period. On Saturday, Janiga scored, what proved to be, the game-winning power play goal at the 3:39 mark of the second period. She also added a pair of assists.
