Sarjeant led Mercyhurst to the program’s biggest upset win since becoming a Division I member in 1999-2000 when he stopped 39-of-40 shots in the Lakers’ 2-1 victory at #4 Colgate on Saturday night. Sarjeant’s shutout bid was ended with 2:11 left in regulation when Colgate scored with an extra attacker to cut the Mercyhurst lead to one. He stopped seven shots in the first, 13 shots in the second, and 19-of-20 shots in the third period to preserve the victory.The senior stopped 33-of-37 in the first game of the series on Friday night to finish the weekend with 72 saves on 77 shots on goal (.935 save percentage). After the weekend, Sarjeant has now stopped at least 30 shots in five of his six starts this season.
