Kelly Vitt posted 144 assists in three outings last week, helping the Lakers go 2-1 in PSAC Western Division play. Against rival Gannon on September 30, the Stow, Ohio, native put up a career-high 65 assists to lead Mercyhurst to a come-from-behind five-game victory over the previously undefeated Lady Knights. Vitt added 14 digs, five total blocks, and two aces in the contest. On October 3, she compiled 43 assists in a sweep at IUP. She wrapped up her week with 36 assists at Clarion on October 4. Vitt leads the Lakers with 509 assists in 2014.
