Jack Watson of the Mercyhurst men's soccer team scored five goals in two games this past week. Watson had four goals in one game in a win over District of Columbia, 4-0. It was the first time a Laker scored four goals in a game since Anthony Maher vs. Assumption on September 1, 2000 resulting in a 5-4 Mercyhurst victory. He went on to score one goal Saturday in a win over Cedarville (Ohio), 2-0. Watson leads the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) in goals (11), points (24), shots (41), and game-winning goals (3). After both games this past week, Mercyhurst’s record improved to 7-2-0 (1-1-0 PSAC). The Lakers will be on the road at Shippensburg Friday, October 3. Game time is set for 3:30p.m.
