Jeffress, a McDowell High school product, lost in straight sets to the eventual ITA Champion, Kiefer Shaw of California, 6-2, 6-4 on Monday morning in the ITA Atlantic Regional semifinals. Jeffress entered the tournament unseeded, but won four consecutive matches over the course of Saturday and Sunday to get to Monday. Included in Jeffress' victories over the weekend was a win over IUP's Tanya Timko in the quarterfinals (6-4, 6-0) on Sunday. Timko was the #2 seed in the tournament and was last year's PSAC Women's Tennis Player of the Year. Jeffress also knocked off seeded opponents, Sophie Butland of IUP and Toni Katipa of Charleston, during her run to the semifinals.
