Cailin Jope recorded 11 goals and five assists to lead the women's water polo team to a 3-1 weekend at the VMI Invitational this weekend. She scored three goals, including the game-winner with 2:31 left in the fourth quarter, to lift the Lakers past rival Gannon, 11-10, on Friday. Jope followed with five goals and two assists in a victory over Washington and Jefferson the next day. She added a goal and an assist to help Mercyhurst defeat Grove City and put up two goals and two helpers in a loss at VMI. Jope leads the team with 19 goals this season.
