Vendemia completed 13-of-16 passes for 221 yards and a career-high tying four touchdowns to help Mercyhurst handle Cheyney 63-14 on Saturday afternoon. The Lakers scored the most points since October 8, 1988 in the win. With his 221 passing yards, Vendemia became the third quarterback in program history to throw for 4,000 in his career. He had scoring passes of 34 (to Jaquan Williams), 63 (to Marcus Snipes), and 59 (to Jaquan Williams) to give the Lakers a 21-0 lead. His 63-yarder was the longest of his career.
