Beck went out and nearly made an improbable run to the PSAC Men's Tennis Singles Championships title on Sunday, advancing to the finals, but losing in straight sets in the Championship match. The Las Vegas, Nevada native won his semifinal match on Sunday over third-seeded Jody Sambrick of Millersville in straight sets, 6-3 and 7-6 (7-3). However, Beck's run fell short in the title match when he dropped a straight set decision to Kutztown's Varun Desai, 6-0, 6-2. Beck's run started on Saturday with an upset victory over the reigning PSAC Men's Tennis Player of the Year, and top seeded Rushi Amin of Kutztown, 4-6, 6-4, 10-3. Beck then eliminated freshman teammate Daniel Gimenez, 6-4, 6-2 in the second round, setting up his semifinal match with Sambrick.
