Bestland, a native of Brunkild, Manitoba, scored five goals and one assist for six points to lead Mercyhurst to a weekend sweep over Penn State. Bestland tallied her second hat trick this season, and second of her career, as the Lakers beat Penn State 5-2 Friday. She had three more points Saturday, scoring two goals and adding an assist during a 4-1 win. Bestland scored her sixth game-winning goal of the season on Saturday, and has already matched her prior career-high of 58 points. She remains third in the nation in scoring, averaging 2.15 points per game, and third in assists with 38.
