Tibbett came on in relief of Mercyhurst’s starting goaltender, Max Strang, on Friday night and helped Mercyhurst come-from-behind to defeat Air Force, 5-4. Tibbett entered the contest just 5:19 into the game with Air Force already in front 3-0. But, Tibbett slammed the door shut on the Falcons, allowing only a third-period goal, as Mercyhurst chipped away at the lead and, eventually won. Tibbett stopped 24-of-25 Air Force shots in relief for his second victory of the season. Tibbett stopped two shots the remainder of the first period, 13 in the second, and nine in the third for the victory. He improved to 2-2-0 on the year and lowered his season’s goals against average to 2.14. It was his first career victory against Air Force in two starts.
