Bestland, a junior captain scored a goal and two assists in Friday's 6-2 victory over RIT in the regular season opener. Then, on Saturday, she added two goals and two assists to help the Lakers defeat RIT 7-0. For the weekend, she had three goals and four assists for seven points and became part of a school-record. On Friday, she assisted Christie Cicero's goal eight seconds into the contest, then scored a goal ten seconds later - a school-record for the fastest two goals to start a period.
