Bestland, a sophomore, scored the game-winning goal at Minnesota State October 8 as part of a two-goal, one-assist performance for the Lakers. She scored with 2:07 remaining in regulation to earn a weekend split with the Mavericks. Bestland also opened the scoring in the contest with a goal five minutes into the first period. She assisted on Bailey Bram's goal to put Hurst ahead 2-0. Bestland leads the Lakers with three goals on the season.
