Mercyhurst junior pitcher Tyler Garbee was named Pennslyvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West Division Pitcher of the Week for his performance the week of April 9-15.
 
The Sewickley, Pa. native threw his second complete game of the season in Saturday's win over Slippery Rock. Over seven innings, Garbee struck out nine batters while only allowing five hits, three walks, and two runs (one earned).
 
Garbee is the third pitcher to win the PSAC West Division Pitcher of the Week award this season, joining Russell Lamovec and Chris Vallimont.
 
Garbee now holds a 4-0 record this season in eight appearances (five starts) with a 2.59 ERA over 31.1 innings.
