 Mercyhurst women's tennis player Kayla Frost was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday.

Frost, a junior, is ranked No. 2 in the Atlantic Region in singles play. She helped secure points in both singles and doubles action in Mercyhurst's 8-1 non-conference win over Fairmont State on Sunday.

Frost outlasted FSU's Heloisa Adams (No. 17 Atlantic singles), 7-6 (7-3), 6-0, in the second flight of singles action against Fairmont. Prior to that, Frost and doubles partner Adrianna Jeffress, who are rated sixth in the Atlantic as a pair, teamed for an 8-0 victory in doubles action against Isadora Matos and Bailey Edeburn.
