Mercyhurst University Athletics

 Tori Pierucci of the Mercyhurst softball team was selected as the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West pitcher of the week for her effort in the circle for the Lakers this past weekend.
 
Pierucci pitched for both games of the doubleheader, totaling 14 innings,  against PSAC opponent Seton Hill, where she earned a 1-1 record.
 
Pierucci recorded 13 strikeouts in both contests, ten of which occurred in the first game. Pierucci scattered six hits, allowed only a single walk, and was charged with one earned run through both games of play. Pierucci, after this weekend's perforce, now holds a 2.26 ERA.
