Box Score BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Mercyhurst men's ice hockey team fell 4-0 to Canisius in Atlantic Hockey action on Thursday.

Colin DeAugustine had a solid game in net, working the final two periods and saving 34 of 35 shots for the Lakers (12-17-4, 11-12-4).
 
Alex Jaeckle, Ryan Schmelzer, Cameron Heath and Jesse Pereia scored for Canisius (19-10-7, 18-4-6).
 
During the first period, Canisius scored three goals, including two on the power play.

Jaeckle got the scoring started off when he scored at 4:17. Schmelzer was the first to capitalize on the power play when he picked up a goal at 7:33. Heath ended the first period with a power-play goal at 18:51.
 
Pereira gave Canisius a 4-0 lead when he scored at 7:40 in the second period.
 
Mercyhurst (12-17-4, 11-12-4) went 0-for-4 on the power play while Canisius went 2-for-3.
 
Winning goaltender Charles William made 32 saves to earn the shutout for the Griffins.
 
The Lakers are back in action for senior night on Saturday at the Mercyhurst Ice Center. Puck drop is at 7:05 p.m.
