Box Score BRIDGEPORT, Mass. -- The Mercyhurst men's hockey team dropped a 3-1 decision to American International on Friday at the MassMutual Center.
 
Joshua Lammon scored for Mercyhurst (6-7-2, 3-4-2) while Bryan Sienerth tallied an assist.
 
Joel Kocur, Blake Christensen and Jared Pike scored goals for AIC (6-10-2, 5-7-2).
 
Twenty-nine seconds into the first period, Kocur scored to give AIC an early 1-0 lead. Dominic Racobaldo and Pike had assists.
 
Later in first, Christensen capitalized on the power play to put the Yellow Jackets up, 2-0. Brennan Kapcheck and Pike picked up assists.
 
Lammon finally got Mercyhurst on the board with his fourth goal of the season. He jumped on a loose puck in front of the Yellow Jacket net. Sienerth was credited with an assist on the play.

Pike finished off the scoring for American International, tallying an empty-netter.
 
Brandon Wildung stopped 29 shots in net for Mercyhurst while Stefano Durante made 13 saves for AIC.
 
The Lakers finished 0-for-4 on the power play while the Yellow Jackets went 1-for-5.
 
Both teams are back in action Saturday at 2 p.m.
