ERIE, Pa. - The Mercyhurst Women's Tennis team has announced their 2023 spring schedule. 

Coach Jerome Simon expressed his thoughts about the upcoming season stating, "We are all looking forward to a successful spring season, as everyone has been working hard in the off season."

The Lakers will begin their season on the road as they take on Salem University February 10 at 6:00 p.m. and St. Bonaventure University on the 12th at 2:00 p.m.

The weekend of February 18-19, the team will host Daemen University and Frostburg State University. Match times are 6:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

The Lakers will then go on to play in five away matches. On the 22nd of February the women will face Dunesque University at 10:00 a.m. The team will then play back to back matches, on the 25th and 26th, against West Virginia State University and the University of Charleston. The team will play on March 15 against Fairmont State University, and wrap-up their road trip at West Virginia Wesleyan College on the 21st. Match times are TBA.

The team will play at home on March 25 against PSAC member California University of Pennsylvania at 1:00 p.m.

PSAC play will continue as the Lakers head to Seton Hill University on March 29 and Indiana University of Pennsylvania on April 4. Both times are TBA.

Three home matches will be next for the team. The first match is against Walsh University (Ohio) at 11:00 a.m.. Edinboro University of Pennsylvania will come to play on April 7 at 6:00 p.m., and Slippery Rock University will round-out the home stretch the 12th at 11:00 a.m.

The team will conclude their regular season at Clarion University on the 18th of April, time is TBA.
