LANCASTER, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst men's tennis team swept a 9-0 decision over Millersville in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference matchup on Saturday.
The Lakers (9-4, 4-0) opened doubles play with a combined score of 24-1 over the host Marauders (1-9, 0-4).
Travis Beck and
Nenad Terzic won at first doubles, 8-0, against Dylan Ryan and Niko Mucci.
Conor McCooey and
Andoni Marquez Calderon added an 8-0 sweep of Christian Boyer and Christian Ackerly at No. 2 doubles.
At third doubles,
Joaquin Aguilera and
Dusan Cerny teamed for an 8-1 victory against Anthony Jadus and David Yunginger.
Mercyhurst enjoyed a solid performance in winning all six singles matches as well, putting together a combined linescore of 72-10.
Terzic bested Ryan at first singles, 6-1, 6-1; Aguilera defeated Jadus, 6-1, 6-0, at second singles; McCooey won over Ackerly at third singles, 6-1, 6-1; Beck finished Mucci at fourth singles, 6-0, 6-2;
Ross Molinaro IV was victorious against Boyer at fifth singles, 6-1, 6-0; and Cerny took down Noah Ginder at sixth singles, 6-2, 6-0.
